Mission
The Golden Years Club is part of MCC’s efforts to prevent depression, anxiety, isolation, and feelings of helplessness associated with aging. We do this through hosting active, welcoming gatherings for ages 50+ that promote socializing and making meaningful connections.
History
Since 2019, the MCC East Bay Over-60 Seniors Social Group has organized activities for seniors and their families, including educational workshops, lunch, and social activities.
Goals
The Seniors Program aims to be a haven of support, empowerment, and social opportunities for older members of the congregation.
- Create opportunities that enable older individuals to live independently as long as possible.
- Promote Wellness
(both physical and mental health) of the older congregation. - Promote long-term financial stability of seniors to prolong healthy, independent living.
- Enrollment is easy. Just contact MCC.
