Join us for a special youth kickoff event to meet MCC’s new Youth Coordinator! Middle and high school youth are invited for an afternoon of DIY boba, halal snacks, games, and icebreakers.
This is a chance to connect with our new youth coordinator, make new friends, and share your ideas for future youth programming at MCC.
The event is free and open to all youth ages 12-18.

Uroosa Shah
Youth Services Coordinator
Uroosa Shah has served the Muslim community for several years, beginning in her hometown at the Islamic Association of Long Island, where she taught Islamic studies, coordinated youth programs, and served on the education board. Her primary focus was on guiding teens to build lasting bonds with their peers in the Muslim community and providing welcoming spaces that nurture faith and belonging.
Now in the Bay Area, Uroosa continues this work through her role at MCC, with a focus on youth engagement and community building. She is currently pursuing her ʿĀlimah studies to deepen her Islamic knowledge and better serve the community. Uroosa also holds a Master of Science with a concentration in Environmental Health & Safety. She continues to advance her professional career alongside her religious service. Uroosa is passionate about empowering the next generation in their spiritual and personal growth.
