Boys Summer Camp | Ustadh Haseeb Sadat

For boys ages 13-18, Ustadh Haseeb Sadat leads a four-week summer camp that aims to provide an enriching and engaging experience for young boys while strengthening their Islamic identity. This camp will foster personal growth, instill essential Islamic values, foster brotherhood, develop prophetic character, and teach valuable life skills.

Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. | July 10 – August 3 | $150/week | Register at mcceastbay.org/boys-camp

Please register for each week you wish to attend. *We reserve the right to cancel the camp due to low attendance*

We will use The Absolute Essentials of Islam by Faraz Rabbani and How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. We request that you pre-purchase these books as they will not be provided in the camp.

On Friday, August 4, there will be a special public speaking event for the boys to give their khutbahs in front of a parent audience.


Curriculum and Course Overview:

1. Essential Aspects of Wudu and Salah: Participants will learn the proper techniques and etiquette of performing Wudu and Salah. They will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of these practices in their daily lives.

2. Changes and Challenges during Puberty: Facilitators will provide age-appropriate discussions on the physical, emotional, and social changes that occur during puberty. Participants will be guided on how to navigate these changes with confidence and faith.

3. Public Speaking: Workshops will be conducted to enhance communication skills, boost confidence, and enable participants to express their thoughts effectively in public settings. Learning how to conduct a khutbah will be one of the learning outcomes.

4. Character Building: Engaging activities and discussions will focus on developing positive character traits, empathy, resilience, and leadership qualities; stories of Rasulullah (SAWS) and the sahabah (R) will be incorporated.

5. Sports Activities: The camp will offer basketball, handball, and wrestling sessions to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among participants.

6. Daily Book Reading: Br. Haseeb will promote summer reading by assigning one of the best-selling self-help books, How to Win Friends and Influence People, by Dale Carnegie. Student will connect the lessons gleaned from the book with lessons from the Quran and Sunnah.

About Ustadh Haseeb:

The camp will be hosted by Haseeb Sadat, a highly experienced professional with a deep commitment to Muslim youth development. Haseeb has a rich educational background, having previously served as a vice principal of Granada Islamic School and a teacher at Northstar School. Furthermore, Haseeb brings his own athletic expertise as a former Division I Wrestler at UC Davis. With his extensive experience working with Muslim youth, Haseeb is well-equipped to create a nurturing and educational environment for camp participants.


MCC has a standing policy that financial need should never hold a person back from attending any activity held in the community center.
