The Proclamation is the second agenda item so please be on time at 7 p.m. to the meeting. Sr. Spojmie Nasiri and Br. Munir Safi will speak on behalf of Pleasanton Muslims.
This is the second year the Pleasanton City Council has done so. Keep an eye out for Dublin, San Ramon and Livermore City Council virtual proclamations in the coming weeks.

Last year, then-Vice Mayor Karla Brown presented the Proclamation, which acknowledges the rich history and guiding virtues of American Muslims, and commends Muslim communities in California for the lasting positive impact they have made, and continue to make, toward the advancement of the state and the nation. The Pleasanton City Council follows in the steps of other City Councils in the San Francisco Bay Area, like Santa Clara, Union City, Oakland, San Jose, and Redwood City.

Our gratitude to Sr. Sameena Usman from CAIR – San Francisco Bay Area. She has been facilitated these Bay Area-wide Proclamations. Our gratitude to Sr. Eman Tai for facilitating the Dublin Proclamation: https://youtu.be/5yLuSj2w-w0
