For newly-arrived refugee families: Join us in person for a Q&A session with Immigration Attorney Spojmie Nasiri, Esq. to discuss the Temporary Protective Status (TPS) application process and how to obtain a California Identification card for newly-arrived refugees who entered the US at the Southern Border.

Sr. Spojmie will also be on-site on Sunday, Oct. 15 at the Afghan Youth & Family Program to answer any questions regarding immigration laws.

Afghan-American Community Organization (AACO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the Afghan-American community through education and outreach and promoting civic and social engagement through the annual conference and beyond. 

Spojmie Nasiri founded the Law Office of Spojmie Nasiri, PC, in 2011 in Pleasanton, California, to provide her clients with the personalized and compassionate immigration legal service they deserve. Mrs. Nasiri currently practices immigration law exclusively and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She has extensive experience representing clients with family-based Immigration matters before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, complex deportation matters before the Federal Immigration Court, and U.S. Embassies around the World.

Homaira Hosseini Bio:

Homaira Hosseini is a board member of the Afghan-American Community Organization (AACO), the first national nonprofit dedicated to advocating for and empowering Afghans both domestically and internationally. Homaira was Senior Counsel at Lyft and previously held the position of litigation associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. She received a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Public Affairs at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Subsequently, she completed her J.D. at the University of California, Berkeley Law School.
