Ustada Mona’s program offers classes for beginners and advanced students.
In the beginner class, students learn to read the Arabic alphabet with the correct pronunciation. Students must be five years old or older to attend the class.
Students who meet the requirements of the Beginner’s Qur’an class can move on to the Advanced Qur’an class.
Sr Muna’s is now offering classes, online only on Mondays and Wednesdays, OR hybrid with in-person on Tuesdays and online on Thursdays:
Monday/Wednesday Options:
- 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Tuesdays/Thursdays Options:
- 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Teachers include Ustadth Mona (beginners), Sister Rabab (beginners), Sister Sheelan (advanced), and Sister Abeer (advanced).
Tuition: $90/month for one student and $75/month for each additional student.
A minimal book fee (beginner’s level only) also applies to each student. Book fees will be added to the first automatic payment charged in September 2025.

Please note: There is a 30-day notice required to withdraw from any MCC programs.
Financial Aid
The MCC has a standing policy that financial need should never hold a family in the East Bay from benefiting from any offering at the MCC facility. To request a financial waiver, please complete the application at mcceastbay.org/scholarship. Your application will be reviewed, and you will be contacted regarding its status.
