During our Domestic Violence Awareness Month Vigil at the Downtown Event Center in Fremont on Wednesday, Oct. 8, the MCC Social Services Team and community members gathered to honor survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and show solidarity for change.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Let’s remember that Islam enjoins kindness and mercy and forbids oppression.

Domestic violence happens everywhere all the time and affects everyone. Women are the principal victims. Help us bring awareness.

During the MCC Jumu’ah services this month, MCC will invite various local Bay Area DV organizations to table. Our Khutbahs will also focus on raising awareness of domestic violence.
