Last Sunday, we held an important workshop about youth safety, firearms awareness, mental well-being in partnership with Maristan & SRVIC.
How can we help young people recognize unsafe situations, navigate peer pressure, and feel comfortable asking for help? These questions were at the heart of Keeping Youth Safe: Firearms, Peer Pressure & Communication, a community workshop held at MCC East Bay on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
In partnership with the San Ramon Valley Islamic Center (SRVIC) and Maristan, MCC East Bay brought together community members for an important conversation about youth safety, firearms awareness, mental well-being, and the role families play in prevention.
