The MCC congregation raised nearly $10,000 on Friday to help with relief efforts after a heavy earthquake recently struck Morocco. Nearly 3,000 are dead, and towns and villages have been flattened after this massive earthquake ripped through Morocco.

You can also donate at any MCC foyer kiosk or online at HTTP://mcceastbay.org/morocco

MCC covers all credit card processing fees, so 100 percent of the donation goes to relief efforts.

Qari Amar Bellaha and his family – native Morrocons – fundraised at the three Jumu’ah services at MCC on Friday, Sept. 15. The funds are being sent via the Alalusi Foundation to supply tents for earthquake survivors.

MCC is supporting Qari Amar’s efforts to raise funds for his home country’s relief efforts, which are going through the Alalusi Foundation.

Sisters with the Tri-Valley Muslim Indonesian Association will also sell flower bouquets in the foyer, with 100 percent of proceeds going to relief efforts.
