Prison Pan Pal Program

At the request of inmates and Chaplains in California seeking to connect with the outside Muslim community, we are starting a pilot pen pal program with seven male Muslim inmates, some of whom are new Muslims. With success, we plan to expand this initiative to more inmates, including female Muslim inmates.

• The name and age of each male inmate are listed. Only male volunteers are accepted.
• For the first two correspondences, the MCC will be the intermediary between the community member and the inmate. The correspondence from/to the inmate will be via picking up/dropping off the letter to MCC or scanning and sending it to MCC electronically.
