On Sunday, August 4th, from 10:30am-1pm, SRVIC and MCC will be hosting a private bazaar for refugees and other deserving families. Clothing, back-to-school supplies, household items, and other essentials will be available for families at no cost. (PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF DONATIONS.)
We are looking for volunteer drivers to give families rides there and back (timing within the period of the bazaar is flexible, and most families stay approximately 45 minutes). We’re waiting to receive a confirmed invitee list, but we’re anticipating families possibly needing rides from Alameda, Antioch, Concord, Fremont, Hayward, Oakland, Pittsburg, Richmond, San Bruno, San Francisco, San Leandro, San Mateo and Union City. Might you be able to help?
Please let us know if you are able to offer a ride, what city/cities you could pick up from, how many people you could take, and what languages you are fluent in (no language other than English is required, though!).
