On Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, MCC was blessed to host Master Calligrapher Khalid Casado, who led an amazing one-day workshop that introduced us to the rich heritage of Islamic calligraphy, the traditional tools and methods of the art, and the fundamentals of writing this elegant script.
Khalid Pablo Casado was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. He studied traditional Arabic calligraphy from 2007 to 2014 in Istanbul under the guidance of some of the greatest masters of our time, including Nuria Garcia, Ferhat Kurlu, and Hasan Celebi.
