MCC-SRVIC Refugee Team is holding a by-invitation-only bazaar for refugees at the Muslim Community Center’s warehouse in Pleasanton on Sunday, August 6, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
We will be giving away school supplies, clothing, household goods, and blankets as long as supplies last. PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF DONATIONS.
Refugees need rides from Alameda, Hayward, Oakland, Emeryville, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, and Union City.
If you’re able to offer a ride, please email the refugee team at refugee@mcceastbay.org and let them know what city/cities you could pick up from, and how many people you could take.
The other option would be to purchase Uber or Lyft gift cards in denominations of $25 or $50. The easiest way for us to use these is if you purchase them from Amazon and send them to refugee@mcceastbay.org
- Fill out this Google form if you’d like to be a resumé coach or job search mentor for someone fluent in English. Or email refugee@mcceastbay.org if you are fluent in Dari and want to help those who don’t yet have English skills.
- Make a gift from our Amazon wish list.
- Join the furniture delivery WhatsApp group to deliver apartment set-up supplies (larger vehicle needed).
- Offer like-new condition furniture here.
- Donate a bike of your time repairing or transporting bikes by signing up here.
- Learn about donating used cars here.
- Donate to the SRVIC Refugee Support Fund.
- Use this form to share housing or employment referrals and/or to indicate a willingness to co-sign on a lease.
