Afghan Community Support

Thank you for your willingness to help with the Afghan relief efforts. Due to storage limitations, we are not currently accepting donation items.

  7. If you have a family member or friend who is in danger in Afghanistan, we recommend that you reach out to your local member of Congress. You can find your representative here:

The MCC Food Pantry and our team that coordinates furniture for homes are facilitating items for refugees and other deserving families as they arrive:

  3. We do not currently accept donations of used clothes or household items. Please consider donating to the Hidaya Foundation in Santa Clara:

The East Bay is home to one of the largest Afghan communities in the United States, and we stand with our friends, neighbors and community during this difficult time.

The MCC is working with two trusted partners – IRC NorCal & JFCS East Bay – to serve thousands of families who will arrive in the coming weeks. You can help us in two ways:
